Healhtier Schools

School has always been one of the hardest places to eat healthily thanks to greasy school lunches and sugary snacks sold at school.

But it seems that help is finally on the way thanks to the Alliance for a Healthier Generation which has been able to convince some really big food product manufacturers (Campbell Soup Company, Dannon, Kraft Foods, Mars and PepsiCo) to reformulate some of the foods and snacks that are sold in elementary, middle and high schools so that they will be lower in calories, fat sugar and salt.

These companies should be commended for supporting healthy kids and teens. It may take a few months, but when you start to see their healthier products hit the stores and your schools, make sure that you choose these rather than less healthy alternatives.

It’s another way that you can take care of your body and speak out to let the food manufacturers know you DO want them to care about you and your health!

Keep healthy and be educated
